In her family and among her friends, Yashpreet Sharma has always been that person. Arre Waah is that instinct, turned into a business — around 1,000 hampers since 2020, most of them for people she actually knows.
There's no single afternoon this can be traced back to. No one gift that changed everything. Ask her for that story and she'll tell you plainly that it doesn't exist, and she'd rather say that than invent one. What exists instead is a pattern, repeated for years: she's the one who notices, who plans ahead, who finds the specific thing and the specific words for a specific person.

Why a giraffe?
Honest answer first: Arre Waah is built by Giraffe Partners. The giraffe was already family.
Then we looked at the animal properly.
It's the tallest thing on the savannah — it notices what everyone else walks straight past. Its heart works twice as hard as ours, because love that has to travel that far needs the effort. No two giraffes have the same pattern. Not one repeats.
And for centuries, people were certain it had no voice at all — until someone finally listened closely enough and found it had been humming the whole time.

We didn't choose the animal for the story. The story was already in the animal.
